Ukraine says transit of Russian gas can fall by 9% on Tuesday

MOSCOW, May 31 (PRIME) -- Orders for Russian gas transit through Ukraine decreased by 9% to about 42 million cubic meters on Tuesday, as seen by PRIME in the materials of the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine.

Ukraine stopped transit of Russian gas via the Sokhranovka metering station on May 11 saying it is located on the territory controlled by the Russians leaving the only entrance for the gas at the Sudzha metering station. Russian gas giant Gazprom said the entire flow cannot technically be shifted to Sudzha.
